Can I be raided?
Not if you build in the PvE half. Locked doors and boxes are immortal there, so there is no raiding of any kind — not by explosives, not by fire, not by anything. Build in the PvP half and you can be raided at any time by anyone.
How do I know which side I am standing on?
Your HUD tells you constantly: green for PvE, red for PvP, amber while you are crossing. The border itself is a chain of black spheres running the full width of the map, and it shows on the map screen as a dotted golden line. You will not cross it by accident without noticing.
Which half is PvP this wipe?
It changes. Which half is PvP, which way the line runs and how big the world is are all set fresh each wipe, on whatever custom map is loaded. Check in game or ask in Discord for what is running right now.
So nothing can kill me in the PvE half?
Other players cannot. The island still can. Animals, NPCs and Bradley all keep explicit permission to hurt you, and monument traps and turrets stay live. PvE means no one can ruin your day; the environment is still perfectly capable of it.
What is RP and how do I get it?
Reward Points are the only currency on the server. You earn them by playing — gathering, events, quests, raids. They buy skills, shop items and raidable bases. At each wipe your skills reset completely and 90% of your RP balance is cut.
Can I buy RP or anything else with real money?
No. There is no pay-to-win, no VIP tier and no donor perks. Donations cover hosting and bandwidth and grant you nothing in game. Everything on this server is earned by playing it.
When does it wipe?
Map wipes monthly, and the map itself changes with it — we run custom maps rather than procedural ones. Blueprint wipe schedule is announced in Discord.
How big can my team be?
Eight. Clans, friends and teams are all recognised by the damage arbitrator, so allies are handled consistently across every system rather than only in some of them.
Can I raid without going into the PvP half?
Yes. Buy a raidable base with RP and it locks to you and your team — nobody else can touch it. Five difficulties from 500 to 8,000 RP, doubling each rung. There are also three ambient raids running free at all times, but those are open to anyone who turns up.
Does the gather rate ramp up over the wipe?
No. It is 10X from the moment you spawn, on your first node, in both zones. There is no grind gate and no early-wipe penalty for joining late.
Why can I loot a desk here?
We added loot to 97 props Rust normally leaves empty — desks, breaker boxes, lockers, coal piles, truck wrecks. Some are sealed and have to be broken open; the prompt says Break and they have hit points rather than a code.
Is the PvP zone just a flat area on the ground?
It is 800 metres tall, so its rules follow you into the air and underground. Aerial fights and tunnel fights inside the band are live. Deep sea stays PvE regardless of where you are.
Am I too late to join mid-wipe?
No. Gather is 10X from your first node whether you turn up on day one or day twenty-six, and there is no early-wipe bonus you missed. You start with 2,000 RP, and the whole skill tree costs 50,000 — reachable inside a single wipe if you play regularly.
What happens to my base when the PvE/PvP split moves?
Nothing, because the map wipes at the same time. The split is redrawn each cycle on a fresh custom map, so you are rebuilding regardless — you are never left holding a base that woke up on the wrong side of the line.
How much notice do I get before a wipe?
Map wipe is monthly. Blueprint wipes are announced in Discord ahead of time — that is the place to watch, not the website.
What do I actually do in the first ten minutes?
Grab a kit, take a couple of quests, and pick a half. There are 15 repeatable quests running, and choosing PvE costs you nothing — gather rate, skills and shop are identical on both sides. You can cross whenever you feel like it.
There are 142 commands. Which ones do I actually need?
Five, to start: /kit for gear and prebuilt bases, /s to sell an unplaced base back, /rec once you have bought the portable recycler, /demo for the demolisher, and the shop. The other 137 are there when you want them — the full list is on the Start page.
Do I need to know all 227 plugins to play?
No. Most of them are doing invisible work — loot tables, damage arbitration, event timers. The ones you interact with directly are the skill tree, the shop, quests and raidable bases. Everything else just runs.
What is running while I am online?
Something, always. A Guarded Crate drops every 120 seconds with six live at once — about 30 an hour — and three ambient raidable bases run free at all times. On top of that there are patrol helicopters, Bradley, quests, Survival Arena and minicopter racing.
Can I be raided while I am offline?
Not in the PvE half, ever. In the PvP half, every base gets 12 hours of offline protection starting 10 minutes after you log out.
Do the patrol helicopters run away like they do on vanilla?
No. Flee damage is set to zero, danger zones are off and monument crashing is disabled, so it fights to destruction every time. Three escalating tiers, up to 12,000 HP at the top.
What is ClanWarfare?
A running scoreboard across every clan on the server — fifty-four have formed so far. Kills, raids and objectives all feed the table, so it keeps score whether or not anyone is actively organising a war. The top three carry bonus starting RP into the next wipe.
Is there anything to do that is not a firefight?
Plenty. Quests, the shop, Survival Arena, minicopter racing, and 97 props made lootable that Rust normally leaves empty. The PvE half exists precisely so that building and collecting is a viable way to spend a wipe.
How long does the full skill tree take?
The whole tree is 26 skills across 56 upgrade levels, costing exactly 50,000 RP. The cheapest unlock is 500 RP and the dearest single skill is 4,000 for all four levels, so you can start buying useful things almost immediately rather than saving for a fortnight.
Can I buy a better gather rate?
No. Gather is 10X for everyone, always. Three gather-rate skills exist in the config but are switched off deliberately — nobody gathers faster than you do.
What is actually in the shop?
389 items across 26 categories, mostly decorative. It is a place to spend RP on things that make your base yours, not a power ladder.
Can I make RP by buying from the shop and reselling?
No. Prices are set so there are no arbitrage loops — 95 container types are individually priced to close them off. RP comes from playing, not from trading against the shop.
Does playing in a group cost me RP?
No — RP splits evenly across your active clan or team, so grouping up costs you nothing.
Do my skills and RP survive a wipe?
No. The skill tree resets completely at every wipe — you start the next cycle with nothing unlocked. RP is cut by 90%, so you keep a tenth of your balance to spend on the way back up. The one thing that carries forward is ClanWarfare: the top three clans on the table start the following wipe with bonus RP.
Can I respec a skill?
No. There is no respec and no refund — RP spent on a skill is spent. Buy deliberately, especially early in a wipe when you have the least to work with.
Do I lose my loot when I die?
No, on either side of the line. Loot loss on death is switched off in the PvP half as well as the PvE half, so your belt, worn gear, main inventory and backpack all come back with you when you respawn, and nobody can farm your corpse. What crossing actually risks is your base, which can still be raided to the ground, and your position in whatever fight you just lost. The one exception is Purge day at the end of the cycle, when that protection lifts.
